3.99 a gallon in metro detroit for regular. I paid 4.18 a gal for premium last time I filled the miata.

My blazer zr2 costs about 65 bucks to fill, but I can go a couple weeks between fill ups. The worst of our stable is the wifes damn minivan. 23 gallon tank and only averages 17 mpgs!!

I too am also shopping for an econo bucket for the spring/summer months, the blazers getting parked until snow time.

I solved the gas crisis by living 3 miles from work. Try it. You'll love it. Sometimes I go for weeks on a tank of gas.

You should try over $100 to fill the tank before you start complaining.

On the Miata? On the truck, its been like that for awhile now. The truck is also getting 19.5mpg, so fill ups are few and far between...

filling your gas tank at 1/4 tank, still equals the same amount, you just fill it up more...but it looks good on paper.

But could save money if you don't have to replace the fuel pump after you starved it

Just to the E? I NEVER stop to fill mine up before the gas light comes on. And it'll still go about 25 miles after the light comes on.

You guys have it sooooooo easy, come over to the UK and yes, it's about $100 for a full tank. Out of which the government has taken roughly $70.

Just got back from Cars N Coffee Irvine So. California &1000 expensive show cars!
And Auto Club Raceway Fontana Ca. Asian Car Drags and Show!
Total miles about 107 miles!
About 5 gallons since I drive with a very "HEAVY FOOT" 80-100mph on So Cal. Roads. $21.56 = 22 cents a mile?
I recall paying $3/gallon and getting 30 mpg or 10c a mile about 1 year ago.
...........
120% increase???? ----------------WTF!!!!
...........
I'm not complaining, just stating the HEAVY FOOT, HIGH SPEED, HIGH RPMS 4-7K & HIGHER PRICE FUEL = 120% MORE PER MILE!

I would love to pay 4 bucks a gallon for gas.
Hell, even $6 would be perfectly OK for me.

I live in Istanbul, and the price of gas just went up. Again.

I just bought gas this evening and paid 4.21 TL / liter.

1 $ = 1.51 Turkish Liras
1 Gallon = 3.78 Liters

4.21 x 3.78 = 15.91
15.91 / 1.51 = 10.53

******* $10.53/Gallon!

10.53 x 11 = $115.83 to fill up a Miata...

There was a time when gas was 86 CENTS/Gal.
Last time I filled up my Miata in the states, it cost me 17 or 18 bucks..
