02-04 USDM WRX Injectors fit NB miatas!!!!

I was looking around and found some post saying that 02-04 USDM WRX injectors will fit the miata and be a PnP affair. They are in the 4xx cc range if I remember correctly. Can anyone confirm this, might open up a new possibility.

Also heard that JDM Sti Pink injectors are PnP those are even larger!!!!

kotomile 12-14-2006 07:18 PM

Interesting.

If they fit NB miatas and NB injectors fit NA miatas, is it safe to say they fit all miatas?

Al Hounos 12-14-2006 08:03 PM

I know someone using 550cc STi injectors on his 240sx. and KA injectors fit miatas, so...

RusMan 12-14-2006 08:17 PM

How can KA injectors fit miata's? I thought ka's were side feed..

cjernigan 12-14-2006 08:41 PM

Why would you go that route anyway, they're surely not as easy to come by as the PnP RX7 550s or other size RX7 high impedance injector. I never see them for sale as often as the RX7 ones and if I do see some they want an arm and a leg for them. Hard to beat cleaned and flowed 550 cc rx7 injectors with new rings and pintle caps for $140.

(425cc - Thin Lt. Blue Body) - #3920
(540cc - Thin Pink Body) - #3910

these the ones you thinking about? I have a list of 13 injectors over 300cc that will fit PnP in my FAQ.

Because the WRX guys swap out there injectors with the STI pinks all the time. It kinda like how the NA guys swap theirs out for the NB injectors. If you go on a WRX site like NASIOC there for sale all the time and usually pretty cheap.

Oh, there you go, i'll check that out for future reference.

exactly. Plus the RX7 ones are not rebuildable

I was right.

sti 540cc vs. wrx 425cc

both are plug and play like I listed above. (looks like a lot of people rate them at 380cc and 500cc, however the rates I got were tested at 43.5psi from witchhunter)

Oh i see you have the number but it does not say its from a WRX in your FAq's same with the 425cc

GlennMiata 11-25-2007 02:54 PM

So basically... will the WRX injectors be plug an play on a 93 miata NA??

I'm pretty sure that a search here will uncover a thread about a month ago saying that the WRX injectors are NOT PnP due to them being a slightly different length than the miata injectors.

Braineack 11-25-2007 03:08 PM

yeah, turns out they are about 4mm too short. Something like that, they were removed from the FAQ a while ago.

paul 11-25-2007 03:15 PM

Denied!

magnamx-5 11-25-2007 03:19 PM

Still if you take out he spacers you would, be ok to go i would think. So basically if you find them reliable and cheap all is not lost.

Braineack 11-25-2007 03:23 PM

you can probably do something like that to make it work.

GlennMiata 11-25-2007 03:26 PM

hi bros again, i did a search and only found 2 threads about these injectors and was still not sure whether it was plug and play... therefore deciding to post to ask... so its not pNp confirmed?

magnamx-5 11-25-2007 03:35 PM

PNP but not as pnp as a rx7 injector. Sorry to be confusing but essentialy they fit but you just need to shave down the spacers or leave them out.,
