1.6 nb custom turbo project

Hi to all.
I have 1.6L 99 miata with a custom turbo kit.

Extra parts:
Aem wideband, Fuel pressure regulator, Manual boost controller, Walbro pump, stock 1.8 injectors ( 94-97 ), mishimoto intercooler with custom piping +hks bov.

The question is:
Can I boost it up to 0.5 bar ( 7.25 psi ) without buying any engine management or piggyback system?

Do I need to retard timing? if yes, how can I do it cheapest and easiest way.

My turbo is oem vauxhall insignia 1.8 turbo.

You need to buy a standalone.

Wouldn't MSD ignition boost retard be enough and work on my car? since I have 1.6 engine on my car then I would adjust fuel manually.

No. Do it right, do it once.

You listed a "fuel pressure regulator"

is that a boost referencing fuel pressure regulator? Aka, does it have a vacuum line going to it? Otherwise it won't work, you need something to increase fueling with boost.

Yes it is a boost referencing one so the vacuum line goes into it...
