It runs 17x8 and 17x9" wheels to clear the brakes.

It has Ex V8 supercar brakes.

yes I hope it could be the quickest mx5 in the country. (there are rotary powered half chassis 'mx5s' but I hardly think they count).

Looking much better. The stripes are growing on me, in an ironic way - kind of like a Hello Kitty sticker on a fast Miata.

Now all you need to do for aero is adjust those headlights so your radiator is more effective and you make more downforce with less drag.

Agreed.

Please tell the owner to stop running the headlights like that. It's asinine

Ok, its time.

Went to the dyno today.

Its a mainline AWD1000.

Strapped it down.

Couldnt use my laptop for various reasons so Had to shuffle through the shops laptops.
Encountered a bit of this..

Then started some pulls from 10psi.
It made 240rwhp at 10psi.

Started winding it up, working our way up the rows by setting the MBC to the centre of each row and pulling across that row and tuning.

Ended up running all of it like last time.

Here is the number.
Ill give you all a proper printout start of next week so you can see all the info, I had to run off as soon as it was done.

But.. But its a 1.6L you all said.

Thanks for everyones input.

It makes 300rwhp at 5000rpm the spread of power is huge, just massive area under.
Tested no intake, made 25hp less, tested no filter only, made 20hp less. The nice bellmouth on the inside of the filter seems to make all of the distance.
These runs were done on 17x9's and toyota COPS.

OP delivers with a dyno plot! Nice work Dann, looking forward to you supplying details and fending off disbelief until it runs a 1/4 mile.

That dyno is unpossible 325hp @0rpm.

When will we have a normal looking dyno plot not one of your upside down jobbies.

Look at the old dyno and imagine 300whp around the 5100rpm mark to se ethe torque improvements.

Ill get a sheet like this printed monday.

Nice work dan. I commend you on the follow up but as per the discussion before. You can't defy the laws of physics. The 1.6 is no doubt not as good as the 1.8 but the turbo can still only flow as much as it can flow. Once it maxes out that's it.

Read the thread brother, only 20 pages haha.

E85 (105-110 octane)

Waste gate never opened. Ran everything the turbo had. On this setup that was 22psi.
