1.6L oil feet port plug picture needed.
I'm pulling the turbo off my 1.6 and need to put the plug back in my block for the oil. I think I found the correct bolt in my big box o' bolts, but I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the plug bolt to make sure I'm using the right one. I can see me using one too long and blocking the oil passage or something stupid like that, so I just wanted to make sure.
Just for clarification, this is the plug on the early 1.6 blocks, near the rear of the engine block, down low on the driver's side. |
it's a very short threaded section, and the nut head is like half the height of a normal nut, and there's a ridge around the edge and might have an M or something stamped on it. want MS Paint?
a bought a ~1/2" bolt from lowes-- M10x1.5 and it was fine. |

Worst-case with an overly long bolt would be that it doesn't go in all the way, as the threaded portion of the hole is fairly short. |

Don't forget the copper gasket.
