1.8 Turbo HELP! NO Spark
 

Hey Y'all

Recently acquired a 1.8 turbo has been running well but has recently developed a misfire. Looks like no spark being produced at cylinder 3!

I've carried out a spark test and all coils are sparking except for the 3rd?! I've switched coils with ones I know work and also bought new but still will not produce a spark! I'm at a loss and would greatly appreciate some help before I make any stupid irrational move.

Following basic SPECS:

ME221
1.8 1994 - UK SPEC
TD05
COPS (TOYOTA)
EVO 550 Injectors

What would be the next process of fault finding this damn spark?

Are you seq. or wasted spark?

I'm not sure, is this a setting only on Ms?

I have a ME221 Ecu, how can I check?

Check the output of the ecu and sure it's sending power/signal on the correct pin (MS has an output test mode). If it is trace all the wiring to find your problem. If it isn't putting out correctly you'll have to contact what ever company makes the unit or reach out to someone with the same ecu.

However my Tacho isn't working following switching the 1 COP for new one
