11x12x3 core IC too small for 250whp and track use ??

EDIT,I meant to put 11x12x3 core

Yes I have searched, for hours infact

11x12x3 core IC, 250whp, Is it large enough for track use. In my search ive seen acouple guys track thier cars at that power level with that IC but no mention if its a decent setup

Using a Gt2560r on my setup. so it shouldn't put out too much heat to get to 250whp

That's quite large, if it's a well constructed one.

IC's vary in how good their construction is, wrt heat transfer, pressure drop, and resistance to airflow to the radiator.

oh damnit, I meant 11x12x3 core. guess that's what happens when you post after you wake up

That's a bit on the small side, but may be adequate if the construction is good.

Isnt that the same size as the MSM IC? People have problems with the MSM IC at 8 psi which is like 180-190. 250 whp will be too much for a small ic like that.

Not an answer but:

11 x 12 = 132 sq. in.

21 x 6 = 126 sq. in.

Perhaps the longer runners of the Ebay coolers offer better efficiency vs the MSM cooler?
