14b+emanage = CHEAP

so i have the chance to pickup a nearly complete turbo kit for 600$ it includes a turbo(genuine), manifold, downpipe, intercooler setup, emanage, injectors, and blowoff valve. I know i will still need a AFPR,wbo2,and boost gauge, but outside of those items what else would be needed to make this kit complete? can emanage produce 180-200whp?

If you are fully committed to learning how to put together and tune a turbocharged car, go ahead and pick up the kit. And then read. And read some more. Then, after that, read a bit more.

a proper standalone, wideband, oil and water lines, exhaust and a boost gauge

sounds like a really good deal, though. is it a complete piece of crap?

I'd say your only factor on how much power you make would be the injector size, people have made over 200hp with the 14b.

I have experience with turbo and tuning a car, i was making this thread to kind of make sure i am not overlooking anything. the injectors are 305cc that it comes with, and i realize those injectors wont cut it, but i was more concerned with the emanage unit.

Techsalvager 07-10-2012 08:46 AM

yes the emanage can do the tuning you will need as long as your fuel system and engine supports your goals
180-200whp should be doable. friend has a supercharged 1.8 pushing 180whp on a greddy emanage
