Default Vent Mount Boost Guage Again

I get such good ideas from this site.. This being one of them. I think that mazda was thinking about boost guages when they designed the vents in the miata Name: DSCF4775.jpg

mines the same, except on the vent by the door. it is less noticeable there and doesn't block as much air. (side vents barely blow anyway)

pretty amazing how they are just the perfect diameter for gauges huh?

speaking of vent mounted gauges, during my WI install I bent the crap out of the little PVC line on the back of my gauge. Is it replaceable?

go to advanced auto parts. find the gauges. there should be a replacement kit form a company called Sunpro.

my cousin had a 79 camaro.. he put the sunpro 3 guage cluster amp/water/oil in... the amp guage shorted out, burnt the whole interior out. Sunpro paid for it all to get fixed.. and gave him a free set of replacement sunpro guages..... 6 months later it happened again!

ill jump in this party. Ihad my autometer cobalt mounted on the A-piller for a while but after it became a vision blocker and an attraction i moved it to the vents. Much happier now!

all of your interiors are so much nicer than mine.. I drive with my top down 90% of the time here in AZ, lots of dust accumulates.. and i never clean it.. some day i will make my interior nice tho, when my care gets retired from daily driver status

Damn't i just went to find my A-pillar picture and it looks like i scrapped the photo when I scrapped the Apillar. I went to the 3 gauge din placement because i constantly hit my hand on the Apillar mount and I didn't like the limited visibility that it creates. Only picture I have is this one. Sorry.

BTW: Those Defi gauges are so damn sick. I wish I had the cash to spend on them, Greddy's or Blox cause i love the six o-clock position for them.

I don't think that is the nardi wheel, and while I do agree that the nardi wheel is a very nice looking wheel, some of the guys who have it (and drive their cars hard at events) say that the polished wood wheel gets slippery after awhile. Just a thought...
