Awesome ride!

Hey man, 1.8 60 ft time is fast. I barrowed my friend's slicks to run on my N/A soon to be turboed miata, and leaving on the rev limiter with no spin, I was turning 1.89 60 ft. times, so, just imagine if you got some slicks!!

Just outta curiosity, what size gear are you running in the rear
?

Im running completely stock drivetrain. I do want to run slicks, but I dont really want to break things. This is my daily driver too, so I have to be careful (especially now that it makes about 500 hp).

I think the best way to start breaking things are to run low-pros on concrete. If you have some sidewalls on a set of slicks, it has plenty of give to ease the torque onto your drivetrain, depending on how much air you run (a reasonable amount is 10-12 psi). The only thing you need to worry about on street tires are your axles when you start wheel hopping.

when you wheel hop with a miata breaking the axles isnt what you are thinking about, its breaking the diff and tranny that you are thinking about.

So far I have not had any issues with wheel hop. I have been running bfg drag radials at 10 lbs of air.

Took it to the 1/4 mile this last weekend with race gas and lots of boost. My 1st pass, I went 12.0 at 104 mph lifting at the 1000ft mark because my clutch started slipping in third and fourth. I turned the boost back down to 12 pounds and tried again, and we went 11.90 at 126 with the clutch still slipping at the top of 4th. Time for a new clutch.

I know you've got a lot dough in it, but you gotta feel like you're getting a return- no? Daily driver running sub 12s... wow. How's it on the street? commuting? traffic? Did you post a dyno sheet?

1.8 60' time is pretty good, congrats on the time.

that had a really nice sound to it. Hopefully ill be hearing more of those sorts of sounds coming from my turbo miata more and more often in the future.

Wow... very impressive!
