2 questions... fuel rail, and water lines
#1: fuel rail.
I saw this on lightweightmiata http://www.lightweightmiata.com/fuel/fuel03.jpg I have a spare rail and I was thinking about doing this but I dont quite understand where the far end goes? or how is it hooked up... is it just a "T" fitting that goes to both ends of the rail? #2: I have a 16g turbo and I was wondering where is the best place I should go for my water feed and return. I've been looking at all the pics I can, but I havent found one big/clear enough to copy or refer to. any info will help. thanks -sid |
Yes, it would connect to the front-feed via two lines and a tee fitting with a line from the fuel feed from the tank.

I was thinking of running a tee of one of the heater hoses and hten running a return line to the coolant bung on the block. i Just never did it though it should work.

Yes, great pic; that shows exactly what you need to know. Yes, those two lines are the water lines to the turbo, and they can be in any order.

althought it doesnt really matter, id put the line to the pump on the higher fitting of the turbo and the one from the t'stat housing on the lower..just to get slightly better flow through the turbo...I.E water flows from lower to upper part of the turbo housing...

There shouldn't be any "higher or lower" fittings on the turbo because the oil drain should be at the six o' clock point.

Does the picture of the fuel rail illustrate what it means by "dual feed", ie... pressurized fuel is fed into both ends of the rail... as opposed to a single feed where the injector at the far end might be in danger of being starved. |
Yes... dual feed rails input fuel from both the normal cylinder 1 point and a cylinder 4 point to make sure that all the injectors are getting "equal fuel". <G>
