3" downpipe

Does somebody knows where I can get a 3" downpipe that is bolt on for a td04h from greedy. I have a 2.5" form turbo tony but is not enough to get 300hp with it.

thanks

SKMetalworks 01-22-2010 11:15 PM

Greddy turbo will not support 300 hp.

i agree with the above. LoL however to answer ur question i believe begi makes custom 3" dps

SPEEDSTER44 01-22-2010 11:47 PM

my turbo is upgraded with 19t wheel and right now I j=have 260 rwhp so I think going 3" downpipe and exhaust can help me get a few more hp considering that I have 8psi of back pressure in my 2.5 downpipe

you have 8psi of backpressure? You MEASURED back pressure in your exhaust?

SPEEDSTER44 01-22-2010 11:59 PM

yes this way you can know if the air that is coming out of the turbo has an easy way out of is struggle by the size of the downpipe and exhaust

how do you know its not ur cat or ur muffler causing the pressure? I have hard time believing 8 psi is caused by a 2.5" dp.

SPEEDSTER44 01-23-2010 12:03 AM

to measure that simply had put a fitting in the o2 bung that i can plug to the dyno where it checks the psi the same place you get the pressure coming of the turbo and do a run and then you know how thing are going at the back.

2 or 3 psi is the highest pressure we should get to to optimize the turbo

thanks

SPEEDSTER44 01-23-2010 12:04 AM

i was open exhaust

triple88a 01-23-2010 12:06 AM

ah i see. Well like i said call begi and see what they can do for ya. Hopefully they can help you out.

SPEEDSTER44 01-23-2010 12:06 AM

you can laught but not a lot of people has come with 260rwhp here with greddy turbo and manifold I must not be completly wrong

SPEEDSTER44 01-23-2010 12:07 AM

thanks triple88a

go there and clic the pdf file this was 15 psi run

i have 262 with 3 more psi but can't my dawm dyno sheet

viperormiata 01-23-2010 12:35 AM

We're just giving you a hard time man. With the 19t and enough boost, you should be able to hit the mark your looking for.

I remember a thread about a 1.8 miata, using the ETD manifold, hitting over 280whp.

ARTech 01-23-2010 12:45 AM

I pretty sure I can make it for you. The first bend would have to start out at 2.5" since there's very little clearance to the shelf, then flare to 3" after. PM me if interested.

p51hellfire 01-23-2010 12:47 AM

less donk rims, less restricting grill mesh, more boost, less greddy, less gay hood, more coin and you has it :)
Artech is the bomb btw he can and will make u anything even a 3" strap on... lol
