305cc's max out at?...

ok. PLEASE don't shit on me for this thread.

I've read the faq, and searched as much as I could but I need to jump on some injectors before they get sold and need a question answered that I can't find.

What are 305cc injectors good for? At what HP do they max out? 305cc is rated at 43.5PSI, something the guys over at RX7club do is bump the base pressure up a bit to say 48PSI.

Goals for my car is 220-230whp. Running MegaSquirt and a homebrew GReddy kit.

Again, yes I know the information is out there somewhere however I would like to buy these tonite and can't seem to find definitave information.

Or should I just go with 1000cc injectors? I hear they idle fine :giggle:

They aren't big enough. 350CC's will usually max out at the 220ish range.

You can usually get 440's for 50-75 dollars on rx7club, I would go with them.

that's what I figured. I posted a WTB in the FC forums on RX7club

I have a set of rc370cc that I could let go for 50bux, worked great on my old low boost set-up, lmk if your interested.

220 range? try like 190rwhp range tops. 460s max out in the 230-240 range at stock pressure levels.

I'm at 80% duty with my 568cc injectors around 260whp.

i'm suprised i didn't think of this in my last post, but there is a good calculator here to give you an idea. It will also tell you what fuel pressure will do to your flow rate. Fuel Injector Calculator from WitchHunter Performance

If by 305, you mean the Supra 305s that tend to flow at 320, you'd be just shy of your goals. I'd find some RX8 420 cc injectors, which will give you good economy and headroom.

Alternatively, the 305s with a little bump in fuel pressure would also work.

falcon 02-04-2010 05:44 PM

Right now I have some 360cc's I can get or RX7 460cc. Depending on who gets back to me first either will do.

inferno94 02-04-2010 05:54 PM

I can tell you 360cc's won't be good unless you up the fuel pressure. Give yourself headroom, it's not that big of a deal to do it now but it is later.

BTW are theses 360's 323 gtx ones?

Edit: I was running gtx 360's at stock gtx fuel pressure (38psi) and they wouldn't cut it on a gt2554 sized turbo at 14psi boost. With a good sized intercooler I had way too much heat and couldn't get it rich enough to not melt/ otherwise damage pistons at 38psi fuel pressure (so I upped it).

Apparently they are RC injectors.

I think I'll just go with the RX7 injectors then. I would like to make things plug and play and not have to get an aftermarket FPR.

Braineack 02-04-2010 06:34 PM

RC > rx7, add more pressure behind them.

ok not trying to thread jack.

Curious, lets say 305cc injectors with 12:1 Begi, & GT2560 turbo.

With bipes, is 10psi as high as you can go safely?

miatamike 02-04-2010 11:19 PM

440cc Injectors are at 80% duty at 270 RWHP. (Mustang Dyno)

AFR 12:1 @10PSI

what fuel pump? if you really plan on running 100psi fuel pressure why not just get larger injectors. i believe the stock fuel pump will max out around 65psi.
