Fast Forward Supercharger kit is the only safe, reliable way to hit 200 HP.

Turbo is not a good idea, you'll blow the welds on your intake manifold.

Just mount and you're set.

^ An actual turbocharger, not just something that looks like one.

ABB model TPL-B. Good for about 37,000 HP, used in two-stroke marine diesels. Journal-bearing, incidentally.

Draw-through carbureted turbocharger systems mystify me.

Electric is the way to go! You can spend the rest of your money on a 5" exhaust with no muffler bearings, and you save on gas!

Draw through. ..is what I had on my VW for years. Super simple fuel swallowing monster. Locked out timing,no intercooler, one carb, boost sensitive FPR, and like 220 hp. Moar boost just drew in more fuel. I took the simplicity for granted.

Why would you have a boost-sensitive FPR on a draw-through-carb setup?

To keep the float bowl full. It just increased pressure from like 3 to 8 psi. Just a single 44 mm carb feeding 2,000 cc.

I could understand that if it was a blow-through setup, with the carburetor exposed to compressor pressure. That's the opposite of a draw-through setup, where the carb is located at the inlet to the compressor and sees only ambient pressure at the throttle plate.

The disadvantages of a draw-through setup are that the compressor oil seal is exposed to high vacuum during decel, and of course you are blowing fuel through the compressor which precludes intercooling and can be hilariously disastrous in the event of a backfire.

Ha, your exactly right. Mine was a blow through. It's life ended many years ago. The question that killed it was " how much boost can it take"? About 25 ish psi for about 5 seconds. Exploded 3 cylinders.

And I don't think any of them run a harmonic damper, or a head gasket. Freaks of engine nature.
