99 Miata - How to route cold air to intake + AFM question

Hey Guys,

I was wondering what solutions that members came up with to route cold air into the intake (right behind the drivers side headlight) with a turbo'd 99 Miata.

I was also wondering if running a parallel ECU setup (stock + Microtech LT10s) to beat OBD2, is it possible to remove the AFM or at least have it still wired up to the stock ECU but eliminate it from the intake.

I believe the air temp sensor is in the AFM body (somebody please let me know on this). If the temp sensor is there, where is the best place to reroute it to. I am guessing someone has to make an adapter to put on the intake that accommodates the temp sensor, or with a turbo setup, would it be much more effective with the new ECU to put the air temp sensor right near the throttle body since the hottest intake air will be there?

Lots of questions, but I know you guys can help! Thanks a ton!
