Bomex or Bomex-style.

Neat build! I'm a local, we'll have to get together sometime. :)

You need to install/build some sort of heat shield for your brake master and fluid reservoir...otherwise the plastic bits will get melty and the fluid bits will likely boil.

These things make for a bad day.

Since the last time, I installed the new headlights but now I have a bumper fitment issue. I took the car out this weekend for Street Car Takeover Indy and the car ran great, very reliable and a lot of fun! Got to beat an Evo X on bolts on and got an award in a car show today.https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a2e39f3dbd.jpg

Congrats on the award! Car looks fantastic. Glad you're enjoying it.

Dude, there's your hot side piping solution. You can see it just behind the headlight.

The answers are there right in front of you while you're commenting on posts.

Right, here's the post with the piping stuff: https://www.miataturbo.net/diy-turbo...2/#post1392073

He's running NB2 headlights though, which is why that hole is usable as far as I know. Is that not correct? I poked around in there the other day, but the head light assembly is blocking access unless I'm supposed to modify it.

First sentence in the post linked says it needs NB2 lights.

I guess I'm putting those on my list too? And bumper? Ugh.

I can shove a 2" tube through the unmodified hole behind my unmodified 99 headlight, no problem. You just need to get the angle right.

More air flow brah.

Also, because of those headlights, he was able to use your preferred hot side routing!

(I honestly didn't notice the gap tho)

I have not been in this forum in years. I am back since I recently got another Turbo Miata. But I figured I would close this chapter. I fixed the "retarded" gap on the bumper, I was pretty happy with what I had accomplished back then even with the shitty fitment, it was a lot of hard work for a broke college kid, taking two majors working two jobs. I had tons of fun with the car, I drove it a lot, took road trips, took it to the track, beat cars in "Mexico" and never missed a beat. I was hit by somebody at 53k miles and even when the car was beyond fixing, the engine still ran perfectly. The drivetrain survives on one of my best friends NA Miata.

It was a sad end to a very meaningful project but to be honest I wouldn't have had it any other way. I learned a lot and had a ton of fun, I created so many memories, and that as we all know can't be taken away.

Here are a couple of pics of the final result and some pics of my current Miata, a pristine 27k mile MSM, which I am absolutely in love with.
