Whay exactly is there to agree or disagree with? It's science, pure and simple. Putting into application with a reasonable margin for safety is the trick. Oh... and post cliffs...

I agree with both.

The first dyno is my standard "super-safe" tune, 2nd is +3*, and 3rd pull is +5*(total increase) or spark:

All pulls had at least a couple minutes of the fan in front of the IC so I doubt it was heat-soak that killed the output on #3. Ignore AFR, it's .3 lean on this dyno.
On the richness issue, I planned on running 12:1 AFR but more fuel made more output until about 11.6:1, richer than that and I see a dramatic decrease in output.
