AIT location

I just bought a used MK1 Link, and the temp sensor is in the IAC bypass hose. It seems like this is not the best place for it, since there is not constant airflow through the hose? The PO ran it this way apparently, so I don't knwo if I should leave it like this or figure out a different location.

The problem is, it's not a sensor that has threads, its like a small wafer computer chip.

Any ideas?

get a proper temp sensor from DIYautotune and install it pre-tb

FM has the Link installation manual available on their website for download in PDF form.

I've read the install PDF. The instructions are meant to be used with the FM turbo kit. The intake elbow (to the throttle body) has a slot/bung for the sensor. A DIY sensor will not work with this ECU.

I am running a homebrew kit.

another downside of the LINK, the horrible AIT sensor.

ya, ya... but for what I paid for it, I ain't complaining. When I have some more cash I will buy a MS but this fell into my lap for next to nothing.

And I have someone who can tune it so it works out for now to get my car running at least..
