Are all Piggyback ECU the same

Im looking at a turbolink piggyback ecu or a greddy blue. now the turbo link ecu came off a MX5 Where as the greddy one came off a mr2.

would they both fit on to a mx5 if i modified the plug. cheers guys and witch one would you go for.

Neither. If I absolutely had to use a piggyback, I'd go with the Greddy EMU. But there's no question that you'd be better off figuring out a way to run a standalone instead.

The Greddy Emanage blue is the same for all cars but you will need an adapter harness to connect it to your car. You can build one on your own if you know a bit about electronic and if you are able to read circuit diagrams or you can buy one of the expensive original adapters for it but I don't know if they are even produced anymore.

If you mean the link piggyback ecu sold by Flyin Miata for the Miata NB : I would stay away from it because as far as I know it works with additional injectors and can't control the original ones. Would be much work to get that running.

I was using an Emanage blue in my RX7 for some time and it wasn't that bad but I would never use one again because it needs the original AFM to work and it has it's limits. You won't be able to use injectors bigger than twice the original injector size because of the way it works.

The best way for you would be to get a megasquirt which really isn't much more expensive than using an emanage.
