The greddy mounts up about that high. With it being that high the DP is going to have to have a couple of pretty tight bends (ala greddy) to clear the firewall. Mounting as low as possible would be the best, that way the DP is a straight shot out the back.

Otherwise, looks nice and shiny.

From the pics it looks liek the turbo is placed an inch or two lower than the Greddy manifold, and a lot further forward. a 3" dp should be able to be made and smoother than the greddy options.

Yah a bottom/low mount would be better if you don't care about A/C or P/S. This boost logic mani would be similar to what I would make if someone wanted to keep a/c and p/s, except I would come from the top down, and place the turbo upside down.

Waaaayy overpriced, and the 4th runner looks like it would be utterly useless in spooling the turbo.

Thats the manifold That Sport Compact Car used on their project Time Attack Miata. they said its very nicely made and worth it if going for some good power.

considering it is a equal length manifold all pipes should be around the same length maybe looks deceive you.

this one is a little different than yours, this one is not eqal length, #4 runner is longer as the turbo flange is moved forward slightly

click on the picture and look at number 1 runner. it is bending downward to compensate the #4 length. they could just made it like the number 4 runner but chose to elongate it to come close to a equal length.

it's not equal length....and the question at hand here, is why are there 3 runners pointing directly into the turbine like they should and #4 pulses horizontally across? It's a bad design for what you are paying. and fwiw, #4 is shorter.

spend 1/2 the cost and get a Mild Steel ETDracing.com manifold that's properly designed so that all four enter the collector correctly.

if you call them, they will probably work with you on price.

While they haven't made a ton of miata manifolds, they are one of the most well respected fabricators in the supra world. The shop owner recently bought a miata and so did their head tuner.

I admittedly have cracked their manifold, but am not convinced it was their fault.EGTs after a LOT of track time and a tweaked exhaust are what did it.

they are local to me actually, and had a friend that worked there. i know their quality when it comes to supras and other high HP cars, but it just seemed to me that these are over priced. i'm still learning about turbo setups and, i've talked to them about this manifold before. i just wanted to get other peoples opinions about it.

im sure its not of bad quality, it looks good too, but what they dont seem to know is that the miata owner and supra owner are usually after two different things...
Supra guys usually go for dyno queens
Miata guys go for track abuse
i know there are individuals that are vice versa, but how often have you seen a supra at a track event you went to?

that said, i think they need to rethink their approach to the miata market
good quality parts with less bling and money and they will sell more of those puppies

i'm with you...it seemed like they were riding their supra fame/knowledge into the miata crowd and expecting people to pay this much for their miata stuff. i just didnt know if there was something extraordinary about these that yall might pick up on.

top mount or bottom is personal preference. i like my turbo on top easier to access and yes i do understand the down pipe is harder to make but that is where the skills come in i guess

one bonus they don't mention on thier site is their lifetime warranty. If you crack it, send it back and they'll repair or replace it.
