As I began looking at my options in the fuel rail standpoint, I noticed there are only a handfull of options..And as I began to tap my stock one I had a feeling that a larger dia. might be a bit better than just the stock dual feed. So if there is any interest in them, I will see the possibility of possibly making some. I will probably make one for my car anywho, just thought I would throw that out there.

Aright, so I guess my target would be like $135ish. That is cheaper than any I know of. The honda ones I have seen which can be mass produced are usually over $100. That price isn't firm or anything, but that is what I would like to shoot for. Yea, that Vishnu one is spensive, and its that anodized purple color.. which is kinda
IMO. I'll get on it and see what I can do.

I am assuming you are referring to Jim's fuel rail? (the link didn't work for me). I remembered it as being 139.99 as I always look for 1.8L parts. I don't really know what is different between 1.6 and 1.8..? The rail will be out of extruded aluminum with quality fittings and such. Like I said, I dont know for sure on anything just yet. I am going to try and model the rail and figure out the time and cost on everything, and hopefully get a better idea of cost and options. I certainly want to make it as affordable as I can, but I don't want to skimp on quality either. I have heard several people saying that jims rail had a problem leaking w/out doubling the o-rings, which is why I decided against getting on from him.

yeah i was linking to the j!mb rail but none of that gets through the filter. his 1.6 rail is 129. i have no idea on quality, never seen one, never heard anyone say anything about it. looks good in the pic. the 1.6 and 1.8 have different rails. i have an extra 1.6 rail i can send you if you need one for mock up.
i am in no way trying to discourage you from bringing an affordable but quality item to the market. just wanted to make you aware of what already exists.
if you go through with building a rail, i'd like a fitting for a pressure gauge on it.

Yea, I appreciate that. I might take you up on that 1.6L rail for mock up, and if you decide to purchase one I will give you a bit of discount on it, assuming they get into production. I imagine there will be options for extra ports, nicer fittings etc. But I figure I will try and use the general hyrdaulic fittings(not the pretty red and blue aeroquip style) to keep cost down and the most expensive part will probably be the machining necessary.

Not to be a dick or to step on anyones toes, are there some special stuff to these fuel rails that im missing other than providing equal fuel to all cylinders?
And whats making these such ---- rape prices?

Tom sells em. I'd contact him and verify the prices though.
