Anybody use the XS-power cast manifold?
XS-Power seems to be connected with SS Autochrome in some way- Still, they have a cast turbo manifold for the 1.6 that offers a T25 alternative to the Taco taco manifold on Flea bay.
I'm wondering if anybody has actually used one and what the comments are ( ? ). They are inexpensive but looking at it seems that the turbo would be placed at an awkward location….sort of high. This among other issues would make it hard to reach with a custom down pipe ( ? ) |
Nobody ? !

Dude, just do it right. I did it cheap the first time and had problems for near a year. Wanna know when it stopped breaking? When I got rid of all the shit I did cheaply.

Didn't you just have a thread about this? Stop looking on eBay for turbo parts.

That's not Ebay :vash: |
Ssautochrome sells all their crap on eBay, or at least they did back when I was young and stupid.

Below is the only picture I can find of the XS turbo manifold for the Miata, taken from their website:
http://www.xs-power.com/productimages/1378_a.jpg From that picture, it looks like a copy of the Greddy manifold, which is a pretty poor design. It puts the turbo in a very inconvenient location, isn't very good from a flow standpoint, and seems to be more prone to cracking than cast manifolds from, say, Bell or FM. |
Dont buy that. Seriously, why the hell would anyone in their right mind copy the greddy manifold? Unless its a direct copy and works as a replacement. Then thats another story.
|
Thanks fellas.

I did not see the resemblance before. |
