Anyone know a t28 to dp gasket part #?
Can I find one at the local parts store? I know the nissans use the gt28 but I need to know exactly what to ask for. Its all the little stuff that is driving me nuts. I want to drive it one more time before winter but I also wanted to get my bung on for my LC-1 and an actual gasket. Thanks in advance!

just plan the turbine housing smooth and don't use one.

Yup, no gasket needed there. And it would be more appropriate instead of looking for a T28 turbine housing gasket, to look for a standard T2 series 5-bolt flange gasket. I'm pretty sure the T2/T25/T28's are all the same assuming the 5-bolt flange pattern.
Is this what it looks like? But it's a waste of money unless you're sure you don't have flat surfaces or can't hone them flat. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SR20D...spagenameZWD1V |
Use ultra copper permatex, no issues.

I can go without a gasket, but why? What is the advantage of not using one?

With two perfectly flat surfaces, no gasket should be needed. After about 1 minute of running, the metal gets hot enough to expand and completely seal any gap that might be present. You should be able to tell just by listening if you've got a leak. If you don't, then don't bother. I don't know of anybody around here using one. Maybe the Bandit is, but he's the exception. In most cases, it simply isn't needed.

Yeah, you just don't use gaskets with turbine outlets or mani-to-turbine flanges.
The gasket can actually create more problems than it fixes. |
i just went to a nissan dealership when i needed a part.
