Asking 4 help from US forumites-Sourcing GM Map Sensor - almost impossible in OZ

Hi all,

Myself and another forumite have been trying (unsuccessfully) to source the GM 2 bar Map sensor here in the land of OZ.

At least one person here (I think) has posted up a 'how to fit a GM Sensor to the EMB' and said they sourced a new sensor for about $25US. They run out at $100 AUD or more for an aftermarket version (sourced locally) and about $250AUD plus for the genuine GM part!!!

Just wondering if anyone on the forum might have a good source for these - either a GM dealership, or a wreckers or similar nearby, and could possbily source two (2) to send on to me (or at least let me know the price and location if it is possoble to buy them online).

I also know about the Motorolla 2.5 version - also almost (apparently) impossible to source here locally.............. if you can recommend a reputable local supplier or seller online that would be greatly appreciated. I've emailed a couple of suppliers (incl Glen's Garage I think) but have had no reply as yet.

Many thanks in advance.

Im in new zealand and got my one from summit racing...Was alittle more than some of the others but then again the others wont ship outside the states!!!!

I ordered the MSD 2 bar map sensor and got a plug from a holden at the wreckers.(had to slightly modify the holden plug to fit but no biggie.)
Ordered the sensor from summit on friday night on the net and it was on my doorstep in NZ on tuesday morning! :bigtu:

I priced a GM 2 bar sensor at my local auto sparky and he came back with a price of NZ$295.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :gtfo: :gtfo:

the good thing about summit is they keep sending me catalogues packed with V8 parts that i give to my V8 mates to drool over!
