Cool DIY kit not done, but it's ready to start. Sneak peak of my set-up too .. YouTube vid

My sis has the video camera, which SUCKS, I guarantee it's just sitting there too.. Anyway here is a short, bad-quality vid of the first start-up. Because I'M excited. I'm using my $149 Gateway digital camera. It's a little "amateurish."

Clean up that garage son!

Hah! yeah, open d/p. The sucka won't line up with the studs coming off the turbo. Think I'll just loosen the turbo, attach d/p, then tighten everything up real fast.

We'll see what happens. It still needs a few things before it's ready to rock.

Thanks man, check the vBGarage for a couple pics.

Kind of a necessity since my maf adapter is so long, but it should provide a real difference, especially since my intercooler is maybe not the most efficient thing in the world. I'm a real believer in the turbo CAI, so i'm going to try and make it work. (I'll probably end up with two intakes, switchable depending on conditions)

what do you mean on conditions, what would be the downside to an intake like that?

Weather conditions.

I don't want water to get sucked into the intake, so if I were to be out for a while, or a trip or whatever, I would want a normal intake. The only reason I'm playing with the idea is because it's a non-daily driver. And it looks cool :gay:

Default In car. Downpipe attached. Open d/p

Have a couple minutes to waste?

The timing on the video is messed up. Not that it really matters.

It lets me know I only need minimal muffler mods on my exhaust.

I'll probably only need a decent size perforated straight-through core. Good to go.

you could just make a cover for the filter out of some 16 gauge steel or something for the weather situations.
