Bearing plate
I just disassembled my 16g and noticed a small scratch on the face of my bearing plate. Is this a nono or will it make no difference?
P.S. I have a new-found hate for snap rings. |
Use 90* needle nose pliers, big ones, for the large compressor snap ring. By bearing plate do you mean your thrust bearing?

i don't think so, its on this website, scroll down and you'll see "bearing plate" on the picture showing the assembly view of the turbo

i see, if the scratch isn't bad I wouldn't worry about it.

that's nothing, it's just there to seal the intake side.
|
no problem... you are fine to use it like that.
