Begi cast mani and t25 dont like each other

So I finally got everything for my turbo build and I was just dry fitting everything and realized the studs on my mani are bigger than the holes on the turbine inlet. Is it safe to drill out the holes? Wasn't sure if that would cause cracking down the road. Also the compressor outlet would be hitting it so I'll have to clock it. I'm sure other people have had the same problem so I was wondering if anyone had a good source for a wastegate bracket that would work on a t25.
Thanks,
Chad

Yes, just drill them out. Your manifold likely has M10 studs, and the holes in the turbo are designed for M8 studs.

i know the last thing you want is more expense (im in the same boat right now) i just sent off my turbo to BEGI to clock the turbo, drill out the holes, reposition the actuator, and a bunch of other crap... doing for a pretty decent price.

Try giving them a call

If you can't "clock" a Garrett turbo you have no business changing your oil.

Did they specify what position the turbo would be after clocking the compressor? Maybe I'll call them about any brackets they might sell for the wastegate

in my case they were also porting a channel to help with boost creep and i have a super old TB2522 that im using :fp:

Fuck paying $25 for a peice of metal with some holes in it. Make your own.

rigidbigelsworth 07-13-2011 05:01 PM

Jeff, I already have a bracket. I guess i wasn't specific enough. I need a bracket relocation bracket I guess you would call it ha. Unless I am mistaken, that looks like a stock replacement bracket? I guess most people have the compressor clocked to aim toward the front driver side but that seems like the housing would interfere with the wastegate operation but if I had the outlet aimed straight down wouldn't have any clearance issues? My car is at my parents house so I can't go check

I got this. I had to drill into the Compressor housing and tap the holes to bolt it up but it is doable.

I talked to them the other day and he said they have a bracket that goes on the exhaust side so you can move the other side however u want to run your piping. Also clocking is very easy just loosen (don't remove) a few bolts and turn
