No, it is the other way around. I am sure.
The oil comes from the pump on the outside, goes through the filter and returns back to the block through the center piping.
So if you want filtered oil, you need to source from the center pipe

Keep this in mind if you're adding external oil thermostat + cooler too, because the direction is important when plumbing the thermostat.

Good news about the downpipe. I'm waiting for my mani to get coated and it all should get shipped out in 2 wks or less. Lots of lead time for ceramic there for some reason.
One of their ovens broke, so they are really backlogged. We have been waiting on some stuff for awhile. But the good news it is fixed now, so they just have to catch up.

Because up until now we didn't have a "prefabbed turbo kit" forum. Now we do and it can be moved accordingly. It fit better in DIY turbo then it did in general miata and greddy.

AEM did replace it with a new unit. New unit had the same problem. Did some more troubleshooting by connecting the contacts directly into the F/IC. For the first time in months it actually worked. Appears that the harness connector was causing something to short out. Seems odd that two different harnesses and F/IC units would have the same problem.

Finally finished up my install. Boosting to 6psi with no creep. Runs really well open loop with AFRs ~12.2 to 12.5. Not so good in closed loop mood. AFR's constantly swing from ~14 to 16 while cruising - feels kind of stumbly/jerky. Maybe a new narrowband is in order?

No problems with dp clearance except for the front bung which is unusable. Had to use one of the rear bungs for the narrowband.

Thanks for the BOV tip - it was backwards. Runs a lot better now.

Maybe you need an O2 clamp?

I'm not really up to speed on the FIC but I thought it had some kind of provisions for that?

What would be the cost of just the intake pipe for a 1.6? I assume that it's 2.5" at the turbo and 2.75" at the filter?

Thanks,

Jay
