What is the best turbo kit out there for a beginner? I only want like 5 pounds of boost. TIA

Is the new FM manifold and outlet pipe also sold out? I would use them with your own GT2554 or 2560 (or clone), your ECU of choice and injectors. Then have an exhaust built to meet up with the outlet pipe. They are very high quality but other options are MK Turbo and Kraken (facebook?). It also depends on if you have power steering and/or A/C so choose wisely.

At 5psi, I'd be looking at one of the supercharger kits - Rotrex, Fast Forward, probably others out there. Save yourself the heat-related issues of a turbo, and at that power level you probably don't need an exhaust.

If FFS is still CARB that would be a good option. @patsmx5

Fast Forward Superchargers kit is CARB approved to 10psi on 1990 to 2003 Miata's. A pulley swap can lower the boost if desired. We have folks running less boost for various reasons, like keeping the original character of the BP, or for track use to improve reliability, less heat, etc.
