THIS! We'll be using an EFR (not sure what size yet but will have v-band!) when I get ready to pop in the built 1.8. We meaning SuperNatural Turbo - Reed might be able to get you what any of you want as he's a dealer/builder. He's the one who built what I have now supernaturalturbo.com Will have data then - but thats months away though

So I've gotten some information I'm not supposed to share...

I'll just say the 6258 looks pretty nice on a 1.8 Miata.

Oh hey guys I too just wanted to drop by and let you all know that I too have spoken with individuals that I can't name about info on these turbo's I can't discuss and this is yet another ******* worthless post in this thread letting you all know that I can contribute to this thread but won't cause I'm such a ******* cool guy.

So anyways, hope that helps the community.

*edit:
on a serious note though:
1) why is all this "info" so hush hush?
2) why the hell would you post that you have "info" if you can't share said info?

So you're saying you would have ninja edited that **** and therefore we would never see it, effectively concealing the same information from us twice, in separate manners?

Is this some type of twin-scroll schadenfreude for you?

So working today at the track, one of the guys doing flags with me actually works for BorgWarner. If anyone has any semi technical questions I can see if I can find him tomorrow and get them answered.

Please ask him why the f they put a frikken plastic cover on the bov of a 1800 dollar turbo.

Please also ask him if he thinks ball bearing or journal bearing turbos will last longer with an anti lag system or a car with a lot of afterfire.

Please also ask him why they chose a design for the 7670 that requires high boost to stay in the efficiency islands.

Please also ask him why turbo manufacturers keep putting a MAP source on the compressor housing sinxe it doesn't account for pressure drop en route to the intake mani.

Please ask him how the turbine redesign efficiency as well as spool and how the turbine redesign might affect one's AR choice.

Please ask him if any oems are using their efr lineup in some oemed form.

Please ask him if they will release a "budget" efr lineup whihc has the spiffy wheels but no integrated WG or BOV.

It works, it's OEM qualified, and there's nothing at all wrong with it. A better question is-- why do you want something besides the plastic cover?

Please also ask him if he thinks ball bearing or journal bearing turbos will last longer with an anti lag system or a car with a lot of afterfire.

Ball bearing. Far, far high thrust load capacity.

Please also ask him why they chose a design for the 7670 that requires high boost to stay in the efficiency islands.

Please also ask him why turbo manufacturers keep putting a MAP source on the compressor housing sinxe it doesn't account for pressure drop en route to the intake mani.

The comp housing source is ideal for use with an EBC, which you should be using. Using a wg signal source after the IC introduces an unnecessary response lag.

Please ask him how the turbine redesign efficiency as well as spool and how the turbine redesign might affect one's AR choice.

Wha? Match your turbo using the handy new Match-bot. That will tell you exactly how the turbine will respond, within the limitations of the matching process.

Please ask him if any oems are using their efr lineup in some oemed form.

Bits and pieces of the new EFR stuff (TiAl wheel, bb) will be used by OEMs in some form in the future. That's why that stuff is in EFR now.

Please ask him if they will release a "budget" efr lineup whihc has the spiffy wheels but no integrated WG or BOV.

No plans to do this.
Hell, I can answer most of those. See answers in bold above.
