As some of you that have helped me out know, I'm in the process of intercooling my greddy with an ebay type i/c. I figured I'd post some pics of what I have done so far. I've been using the ebay DIY thread in the useful saved threads and got a lot of ideas. I mounted the i/c today with the stock condensor brackets and some angle aluminum. After a few hours of measuring cutting and drilling, my Dad and I came up with this. Any input as to how it looks? I dont have it fully bolted in yet(no bolts), but the bracket itself is very sturdy. Don't mind the crappy fiberglass bumper and chicken wire. The wire is coming out tomorrow when I have some light.

Doesn't look too bad. Although that angle is going to create some obstruction for your radiator and possibly lead to cooling problems. Are you using the stock radiator?

It's tilted towards the front because I don't have any hardware to bolt it in properly right now. Is that what you're talking about? I am running the stock rad for now. I've got a big Koyo in my garage that I can use, I just want to make sure i can clear i/c piping. I might have to get some slim fans. Any suggestions?

Correct that tilt and you should be good there. Sounds like you have the right idea, slim fans w/ upgrade radiator it should clear up some room for your intercooler piping to the turbo and throttle body.

What i ment is the aluminum angle that you are using to mount your intercooler. See how it blocks the flow?

Yeah I got that once I read your post again. I was thinking about drilling some holes like a ricer honda rear bumper in it. Also if anyone has pics of piping setups with this type of i/c and greddy feel free to post them up. Input is greatly appreciated.

For slim fans I recommend the Mishimoto fans and shroud, very thin and light, google to get their site, but buy it off of ebay, I got a great deal on mine. The other choice is Godspeed, same kind of set-up but without the shroud. You might have to buy from them direct because all I found on ebay were complete sets, radiator and fans. Of course you could sell the Koyo and with what you could get for that you could get the Godspeed set (I think it's like $185) and still have some cash left over for some other goodies.

Id cut the middle section vertical legs off where it creates the blockage. Although i would probably leave the ends for rigidity

My bad, I see what you mean now. I made some custom brackets for my greddy kit but I don't have a camera at the moment. I too need to redo my set up, it sits to low.

Just did a little cutting on the bracket. I'll get some pics when I get home from work. Ordered some couplers and have some piping at home, so hopefully I'll get this thing finished pretty soon.

^^ haha thanks for the illustration brain. Are you saying mine is tube and fin?!?!?! Call me a but I really don't know the difference. I got that thing for 35 bucks with a bunch of 2.5 aluminum piping.

My friend put a couple welds on the seams of angle today, so now I'm gonna paint it and mount it up. Next comes piping. Thanks for the help guys.
