Nice to see you taking the initiative. In the future though a moderator will move it for you. Did you see my reply in the other post?

aitracing-miata 05-03-2007 01:52 AM

yea i did thanks for the post i am preety new to this turbo stuff i will give it a shot and try and figure out were it should be set

neogenesis2004 05-03-2007 01:55 AM

There really is no other way when it comes to an adjustable bov. There are no specific settings that work for multiple setups. You just have to adjust, drive, adjust, drive...etc until you get it dialed in. Should take you but 15-20 minutes though.

aitracing-miata 05-03-2007 01:58 AM

when i set it it should not like blow off and lst for a lil bit it should just blow off and shut couse i seen some ppl driving and it dont shut right after they blow off

neogenesis2004 05-03-2007 02:00 AM

Ideally it would just go whooosh and be done. But since it is controlled by a spring it is never gonna be perfect. When it goes whoosh whistle that means it is very close, although it could also be a design of that particular bov too.

alight kool thanks for helping me out with this whole thing.

I'd turn the screw adjustment in till your hear "fluttering" when it releases. Then back it out untill it doesn't make the noise anymore, just a nice whooosh.

SloS13 05-03-2007 09:46 AM

are you gonna recirculate it?

aitracing-miata 05-03-2007 11:49 PM

no im not just open

SloS13 05-04-2007 07:54 AM

good luck with that.

Are you running a MAP or Airflow sensor? The factory airflow sensor will measure the air, including that which your dumping with a blowoff, and it will inject more fuel since it assumes the air is going into the motor. You know this right?

aitracing-miata 05-06-2007 11:43 AM

yea i am running a map sensor. but i dont want to recirculate it couse i want the nosie recirculate will make it quite or will it still be loud

jayc72 05-06-2007 02:09 PM

Are you still running an airflow meter? If so you COULD have some drivability problems. Try it VTA first to see if you get any lurching with small throttle changes while cruising, or wicked bad idle.

Braineack 05-06-2007 02:17 PM

if he's running a map sensor, chances are he's not running a meter.
