BP Exhaust Flange (Model/Print)

1 Attachment(s)
Here is the .jpg of the print for the BP exhaust flange. The stud locations have not been dimensioned on pupose (as my "method" may differ from some folks). Please feel free to use and distribute this, all I ask is that my name stay on the prints :) I'll make one for the 1.6 also if I ever have a head lying around.

If admin can add .prt extension to the upload list I'll also add the solid model file for those who would like to generate some g-code and mill this at school.

Noah.

If anyone wants the model file please PM me with your e-mail address and what format your software takes (iges, prt, sld, etc). There is no since in calculating the node locations if the model already exists.

no trouble... I did it so I can use the CNC at school for my flanges before I leave in Dec (finished with classes). I figured I'd save other people the trouble of repeating work that had already been done. It's also a bit more convenient for folks to print out and take to a shop... napkin sketches are a bitch to fabricate from.

Thanks Arkmage, I assume this is a post in response to my post. I have the 1.6L Flange solid modeled if you need it also. I did notice that you say the ports were a bit oversize. Do you know approx. how much? Also would you send me the .prt file to AuroraMotorsports@gmail.com.
BTW, what are you studying, and where at? I'm a freshman at Okla State for MET.
Thanks a ton!

By any chance do you have one for the BP's intake flange? We just got a new Milltronics CNC machine in our lab here and I'm dying to use it.

Bandit: I'll send you the .prt first thing tomorrow (headed to bed now). The head was ported ~1mm larger on each edge so 2mm on the vert/horiz. dimensions. I did the porting almost a year ago so I couldn't tell you exactly.

iWeasel410: I was planning on making a similar model of the intake side later this week. I'll post it in this thread when I get around to it. The .prt for that will also be available.

FYI... The two middle upper studs are NOT collinear with the outer studs. I measures them incorrectly. I'll update this thread in a few days with the new print after it's verified, but the part I made from this print yesterday didn't fit quite right. Just a warning to those planning to use it.
