15psi from a GT2554R is safe on the stock block. 10psi from a GT3276R will be rough on the stock block. 6psi of ANYTHING without proper tuning will grenade even the most heavily built motor in short order. What's your setup?
The general thought is that you're safe on stock internals up to around 250whp. The larger a turbo you use to get there, the safer you are (less heat).

I've been running 32 PSI for over a year with a stock motor with no problems; my tires are wearing fine.....
"Safest Max PSI"
That's a contradiction. Zero would be the safest. Around here your gonna BS answers when you post something without any background info. I dare say but give us a good idea of your budget, goals, and desire to fabricate and maybe we can help.

I don't think the sr20 turbo (60 trim) likes to output more than 25 lb/min, which is good for around 200-220rwhp max.
with that in mind, they make boost fast, have a SCer like torque curve and is a get into turbo....once the boost bug bites, you can easily upgrade to a T28, GT25, GT28, etc.

That's the turbo I run.. made 190whp on bandaids at 12psi... shouldn't be too hard to make that much on the 10psi you're running with the AEM. If my motor isn't blown, I'll be dyno'ing shortly and will be able to tell you what the SR20 .60 is good for. I'm running a 2.25" exhaust, but I'm still hoping for 220@12-13psi... might be dreaming, but there's always 14psi.
Also, mxdrift, fill out your profile with your location and put a short list of your setup in your signature so people don't have to ask you in the future.

240whp will take a GT2560R, a built shortblock, a standalone EMS, and a big exhaust. Your 2nd gear will be essentially useless on the street, and you will probably break a transmission within 3-5 years, FAR less if you shift hard regularly. The car will run a low-mid 13 second quarter mile.
What experience do you have with fast cars (and I'm talking faster than STIs)?
