Breaking in engine FLUIDS, anyone?

well, we rebuilt an engine..or are in the process of..

it is a 1.8L that's going turbo.

at this point i want to know the following:

Engine Break In oil and filter
what oil is the best to use in the break in period?

Engine oil after break in
recommended oil to run on the new engine? i will use this oil until the car dies!

transmission flush (i'm thinking ATF fluid for a few miles)
how do you guys usually do the tranmission flushes?

post-flush oil for tranny
best oil for this transmission

rear diff oil (can i just remove diff, degrease it and then oil it?)

this car has 110K on the dirvetrain from the tranmission back...i wanna rejuvenate

it has an open diff...any tips on cleaning?
bearings?

thanks

many questions...

thanks guys!

Here are my 2cents and please anyone correct me if I'm wrong. I'll be doing this sort of after this semester.

Break in:
Rotella dino oil and
Read this ---> Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power

After break in:
Rotella whatever the hell you feel like buying and makes your pants tight. Dino or synthetic or blend.

Oil filters:
Pick one ---> https://www.miataturbo.net/general-m...-thread-70672/

Tranny flush:
Kill tranny, cut up, then flush. Be sure to get all the pieces small enough or use acid.

Transmission flush:
Remove big drain bolt on bottom of trans.
5sp-> Fill up using the at side of trans where the square looking bolt comes out. Fill until it comes out while car is level. Stop. Insert bolt. Done. Then remove shift turret and suck out old oil. Then pour new oil in there. Can't remember amount. Halfish?
6sp-> Fill with appropriate amount of fluid from hole in shift turret. Remove turret not drill hole. Sorry.

Type of oil depends on what you have and do. I think most have made the jump to Amsoil. Call Trackspeed > order > wait > do oil change or be a lucky dick and buy it locally.

Rear diff:
Remove big drain bolt. Tilt car in front up ( like a little wheely ) and drain. Put plug back and remove the one above it. Put it in the hole. Then ask companion what that means. Go back to garage. Level the car and pour oil into the diff until it comes out. Stop. Put plug back in. Cuddle.

Again Amsoil seems to be the flavor

It'll make your life easier to get a small diameter hose that just slips into a larger diameter hose that fits on the end of the diff/trans oil container. I siliconed mine together and have about 4ft of hose in total. I put the small end in the trans or diff and run the big end through the cabin at the shift turret or up through a hole in the trunk. Then slip the big hose onto the oil container and flip it upside down. Then go do something else for a few. Smoke, drink, beat spouse, admire neighbors furniture from bushes, whatever. Transmission takes about 2 liters and diff is 1 liter. If it goes over it's minimal cleanup.

Thanks for all the info
Amsoil seems to be the general consensus .

I used Motorcraft Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid Part# XT-M5-QS in my transmission and had really good results over whatever fluid the PO had in there. It's expensive, but it's available at any Ford dealership so you dont have to pay for shipping.

Just got done with the Amsoil ZINC and switched to Amsoil Synthetic 10w-30 here
