Building time attack turbo mx5

Hi, i have a 1.6 with a tdo4h turbo and running 10psi. It has 200rwhp. I am building a 1.8 motor and was wondering which turbo would you reccomend to give the same drivability as my old setup?? I want to make more power, but still be responsive and easy to drive. Looking for around 300rwhp. I use the car for time attack only. It is not driven on the street.

2871

FYI, 300whp isn't easy to drive no matter what turbo you stick on it. ;) You want to look at either a 2860RS if you're serious about that 300whp limit, or a 2871R if you're planning on making more power someday.

Savington- do you ever race at Thunderhill or Sears Point/Infineon?

Your Miata sounds like a blast. Especially weighing under 2200lbs!

I've run at every track in California, including Thunderhill and Infineon.

It's a lot of fun to drive, but you'd better be very awake. :)

Alot of fun to ride in too ;)

Here is a few laps in a ~250-275whp miata. Should be around 2300lbs or so.

This one.

That's an exhaust manifold manifold. Here at MT.net we bolt a big pinwheel to ours, the OP is asking about which pinwheel to use.

If I remember right, it's also a GT2560, making the OP's stated power goal. Should be zippy.

That looks like the ideal set up. Thanks.

2860rs will do the trick and will leave a little head room

I've seen many guys recommending 2871 but which one of these do you mean?
GT2871R - 472560-15

GT2871R - 743347-3
GT2871R - 707160-10
GT2871R - 780371-2
GT2871R - 743347-2
GT2871R - 743347-4
GT2871R - 771847-1

The only difference between those different numbers are some of them are the .86AR house and some are the .64AR. Also some come with a 3 bolt and 2 bolt compressor housing and the other ones are the std 3" house for the turbo intake

Most std one tho is probably the GT2871R - 743347-3 if your want a .64 AR
