Bulk silicone

FM has silicone coupler hose on clearance by the foot. They still owe me a refund on my Link I returned. I am about to call them and bust their balls about it. Thinking about getting them to throw in some of the silicone, or atleast applying some of my refund towards it.
Question: How do you actually cut the silicone in a straight manner? Or is it pretty easy with big scissors? Thx

Use those big long hose-cutters, and all should go well. Much better than scissors.

Cleanest way is to put a wormgear clamp on it and then use a razor blade on it. That way you get a very nice straight guideline... and the razor cuts it cleanly.

Hmm maybe my dad has a hose cutter. I like Dave's idea. That's along the lines I was thinking.

Hacksaw works nice and quick but not as clean as a razor blade.

razor blade is cleanest. worm clamp as a guide is just plain smart.

i just stare it down until the piece I need dies and falls off.

My way works just a wee bit quicker.

I use a big sharp kitchen knife.
