Bw s252 hp
Took it for a ride see link. 11 PSI how much HP could this produce? I know I will get criticism for asking but to all the experts in what HP range does this look like? Also want to share the greatness of MSII built by Rev. This is 2nd - 4 th.
Just take it easy on the bashing 01, Home made everything. Intercooled, Water meth, 3 inch DP. External wastegate :). Cops and stock everything else. |
You have some interesting dash lights flashing :)
I'm guessing around 210. More details on the car? |
pulls decently. I'd say in the 220-230 range on your average dyno
|
220-240whp depending on the weight of the car.
Very slow spool for that power level, by the way. I was expecting it to pull a lot harder after waiting for the thing to wind up for 1000+rpm. |

HAFR's are mid 12s throughout.
You want to be between 11.4 and 11.7 if you don't want to blow your engine. |

You want to run it a bit more rich upon or right before spoolup to help the turbo get up to speed quicker. Also I agree that 12.5 in boost is too lean even with water/meth. I'd aim for 12's flat at the very leanest. Also run more boost. If you want more torque/power its safer to achieve that way vs leaning out the mixture like crazy. That and those borgs really like higher boost so I'd bet itd be happier up there.
This looks VERY similar to what my car was doing on 7psi on the 3076 |
I don't think it is a very good idea to up the boost more than 12psi on a stock 01 engine.
|
Ah, you have a point: forgot about the stock 01 motor part.

Great input will retune to 11.7 asap. I want to keep driving it for a long time so boost will have to stay at 11psi. I will be extremely happy with 240-250 on stock motor considering what Oem output is. This is what it should feel like from the factory if you ask me. I am sarred to mess with timing further at this point.
Thanks for all the feedback |

Given how the engine output is estimated at 220-240whp, and torque should be around 230-240, he is already near the rod-bending torque range. So yes, if he is at 11psi now, he should def not go over 12psi on his setup (which suggests that I do know which turbo he uses). No need to be a semantics nazi.

I'm not disagreeing with you, because you are right, however thankfully this is not mt.net so people do in fact have a clue.
