how much pressure was that?

Mech5700 01-29-2015 02:09 PM

Regulator on the compressor set to 30 or so, but it wasn't even close to that.

Mech5700 01-29-2015 02:21 PM

Just hooked a Guage up and did it again, maybe 4psi.

Braineack 01-29-2015 02:35 PM

yeah it wouldn't imagine that's good.

if anything it should hold THEN start to leak as you increase pressure over what it can hold.

id expect any good bov to hold up to 30psi.

Mech5700 01-29-2015 03:33 PM

I figured so. Found some leakage from the EVAP stuff thats still there on the passenger side, capped off the lines going to that too. But yeah, when I took the BPV off and capped the pipe that goes to it, I could get to 15+ psi pretty easily.

I hit my system (turbosmart bov) with like 35psi and it didn't leak a bit of air.

Mech5700 01-29-2015 05:04 PM

cool. ordered a turbosmart bov, a gtx pcv, and a catch can just a minute ago. Hopefully I'll be good then.

This is with the pipe to the bpv plugged up. plugged the evap vacuum line after this.
