It would, but very tight against the crossmember. Should get a 90 degree elbow.

You need to relocate the radiator hose too.

Why not install the turbo and worry about clocking it and routing the pipes when it is in the car?

If you are fabbing your own pipes, you shouldn't bother cutting until you have a chance to install everything the pipes connect to.

If you are buying a kit, the kit maker should have figured this out before they sold it to you.

I would seriously recommend you get a dremel and chop off the retarded 3 bolt flange on it.

Edit: Bench grinder will work as well.

I have a T25 off a 300zx where the flange starts right at the compressor housing, so cutting it off would leave no room to slide a coupler on. Maybe the OP has a similar situation.

I think he meant to round it off, not chop it off. There was a thread on it...somewhere.

Here, found the picture.

Ah. My bad. I'll have to look into that. Do you think the machining can be done for less than the cost of the adpater (which is $30-40)?

Also, where would you get the wastegate signal from, then? The adapter usually comes with a fitting and if I'd have to drill for a fitting, it seems like it'd just be simpler to get the adpater.

DIY w/ dremel, as Sam put it. Saw off the corners then shape it w/ a dremel. You'll need a good carbide.

Drill the fitting. Or do as Joe did and place it on the cold side.
