Default 1997 FM Throttle body inlet

My friends NA8 is sitting in my basement as he is diy-ing a turbo kit, but we have run into a problem.

He purchased this (https://www.flyinmiata.com/na8-throttle-body-inlet.html) to reduce a potential head ache but it seems to have been more trouble than its worth. The car has a Q-Max reroute and Yanaka radiator. We chopped about and inch off of the inlet to the radiator, and as seen below, there is still almost no room to get a hose to the radiator. I was unable to find a correct diameter hose at the parts store with suitable bends to fit on either side of the throttle body for hose routing. I suppose my question is, is this a common problem? Do I need to go ahead and make an elbow for the throttle body to have the extra room or is there something wrong with the dimensions on the FM part. It seems like they should account for a thicker radiator when building parts for turbocharged cars.

I used Dayco hose 71519 and cut it up to work. Example Sorta-easy Coolant Reroute ? part 2 ? revlimiter.net . Might work if you can shave off a bit for so the IC piping is closer to the TB.

That's my routing with a stock radiator.

I blame the radiator manufacturer. No where near the same attachment location.
Edit: Actually it might be close to stock location and the yanaka is narrower

Cut some of the hose on the intake manifold side. That will solve the problem.

The radiator inlet is in the same location left to right in the car. It is roughly and inch rearward though due to the extra thickness which, judging by the fact that the radiator hose is touching the TB inlet elbow on a stock radiator, tells me about how low profile the elbow would need to be in a perfect scenario.

the elbow has less than a 1/4 inch of clearance from the connector for the IAC valve where it sits now. Taking any off of the TB side would give it too much of a chance to pinch the wires for my taste.

Another reason not to use the FM sillicon Junky IC hoses

I will take a picture of my setup tomorrow for you. Its almost identical and i have it working good. I basically cut off a little bit of the radiator side.
