hey everyone im new to the site but not new to miatas. Ive onwed this one since my father left it to me in 2004. It has 24k original miles. I originally turbocharged it in 2003 but lost interest after money and time ran out. Recently i took off my bandaids and installed a mspnp! Ill post more pics when i have a chance. Also if anyone needs a begi afpr, bipes, or 255lph fuel pump pm me.

Welcome!

Its blueeeeeee. Is it powdercoated? How will that stand up to the heat?

Full_Tilt_Boogie 09-16-2009 11:21 AM

Probably anodized, which will take the heat, the backing plates on the compressors of turbonetcs turbos have always been anodized (used to be blue, now they're gold)

Very nice! I wish my dad gave me a miata with 24k original! Welcome

the turbo is powdercoated. it has been standing up too the heat fine. I had it done a few years ago for free. The sad part is the turbo is a t25 off a 300zx twin turbo with the compressor wheel and housing off a eclipse and its too small now for my power goals. Im running 12psi and am not getting anywhere near the cfms that i need. Getting a chinacharger gt2870. much like the turbo on the flyin miata kit

1990mbt 09-20-2009 02:53 PM

haha ya i know brake resivoir is wrapped in heat tape i melted the stock one and dont like the idea of losing my brakes! once i get my new turbo im going to build a metal heat shield.

I built an aluminum heat shield for mine. It works well but I had a really hard time keeping it from vibrating. But my frustration finally paid off. I'm sure yours will too. Here's a pic Attachment 203396
