Chinacharger vs. Chinacharger ?

I have two Chinachargers (.60/.64 a/r) comp.42.8-60 ( comp.trim.51) turbine 46.3-53 trim 79 ) the other (.42/.49 a/r) comp. 42.8-60 (comp trim.51) turbine 46.2-53 trim 76) The .60/.64 makes 12psi @ 4,200 rpm........... Heres what I would like to do (maybe) Because both turbos have the same size comp. & turbines if I was to put the .60 compressor housing on the .49 exhaust housing making it a .60/.49
would this effect intake air charge temps ? I know I would loose some top end but that might be a trade off I could live with in order to bring on boost sooner. (My old turbo was a .48/.49 Garrett so I got spoiled by early boost.)

when you say .60 compressor. do you mean .60 a/r compressor housing or .60 trim compressor wheel?

.60 a/r compressor housing compressor wheel trim is 51 (sorry for not making that clear)...... Both turbos share the same size inducer and exducer. The real question is would matching the .60 a/r compressor housing with the .49 a/r exhaust housing effect air charge temps or is this configeration just a dumb idea all together ?

it'll probably have nil effect on anything. compressor a/rs have little effect. if anything you want a smaller number a/r for high boost and higher number a/r for low boost

Sounds good so matching the .60 a/r compressor with the .49 turbine housing will just spool sooner my boost levels should remain the same as well as intake temps......Thanks
