So i got all my new stuff and I have heard mixed things about tilting the turbo on an angle, i did this to help clear the frame rails. So my question is do you guys think i should get the turbo to sit as flat as possible or will it be fine tilted like i have here in these photos.

So let me know what you guys think, should i leave it or should i try and make it flat

I say straighten it out. If it were a cheap china charger then Id say leave it and see.

I don't understand, you just tuned your car and now your swapping turbo, mani and DP? Why did you tune it on the old turbo then?

Because i wanted to see what you could get out of an EVOIII 16g on a miata seeing as how i had it on there and also so people here could have a base line for the 16g on a built miata.

I think the oil pooling in the hot side of the CHRA could be an issue but overall I dont see a problem. My CHRA is clocked a little bit so that I have just about that much angle on my oil drain and its fine.

IIRC garrett recommends no more than 15 degrees from vertical for proper drainage

to the level ground within +/- 15°. This means that the oil inlet/outlet should be within
15° of being perpendicular to level ground."
And center housing clocked 20* for best water cooling.

15* is a pretty good amount, i think you're okay.

you could always bust out the protractor and/or ruler + trig calculator and make sure, though.

yeha thats definately more than 15 degrees.

if i was on my wor computer with CAD i could tell you in a second. by xref'ing that image in.
