Coldside piping
4 Attachment(s)
hey guys I'm in the middle of my turbo build (finally). I have run into a problem with my coldside intercooler piping under my intake manifold is some unit and the wires and hoses are blocking any sort of piping. What is it, can I remove it, can I move it? Any help is appreciated

That is the idle speed valve (or something along those lines). It can be removed, but for a street car it probably isn't recommended. I took mine off and made a block off plate. Cold starts are a bitch.

that hose previously went into the crossover tube to the intake manifold, where does it go now that the crossover has been deleted

You'll need to have a nipple put into your intercooler pipe

+1 to everything Ryan said. It will fit, but could run extremely close to those IAC wires.

Just swap to an NB style IAC and you'll be fine, that will require that you switch to an NB style throttle body, which only bolts to a 1.8 manifold which only bolt to 1.8 engines. So this is a good excuse to 1.8 swap the car.

That is a 1.8 car Leafy......
