Compressor housing swap.

Is it possible to swap the compressor housing of a sr t25 for a standard eclipse t25 compressor housing, Just a quick technical ?:gtfo:

Samnavy might know for sure on this one, he put together his own franken T25.
I do know that the CHRA's are the same but the compressor wheel might not be the same size so it might not fit that housing. Are you just asking because you're thinking of getting one or do you have one and want to try?

As long as the compressor wheel that matched the SR turbo is the same.....if the inducer size of the wheel is larger it will hit the walls of the housing....if smaller then it will have a large gap and may not compress air good.

FWIW, I've put (3) different compressor wheel / housing combos before sticking with the current configuration on my T3.

A friend of mine has a blown mitsu turbo, I was just wondering If the standard mitsu comp housing would match up with the sr turbo...then Again IM consider welding the outlet conection on the sr turbo to avoid having to change the gasket everynow and then....umm but I duno

gaskets...who uses gaskets....

measure his wheel...see if the inducer and exducer are the same...if so take his housing....if not and the exducer is the same size take his wheel and housing.

going from Mitsu to Garrett might pose a problem....you could contact gpopshop.com and see if he has any thoughts.

Also, if you decide to swap wheels, the backing plates might not fit either so you need to make sure all that is going to work as well. You might be better off just swapping the turbine housing instead.
Don't let any of this scare you away from trying it, the compressor housings are quick and painless to swap.
Gpopshop.com is a good guy, I too say give him a call.
