Compressor towards fender
Just wondering if anyone out there is clocking their compressor towrds the fender instead of downward. This is what I think I'm gonna try on my 02 NB. This is a T28 on a Begi manifold. The piping will be shooting towards the fender and angle down behind the headlight. Wondering if I'm gonna have clearance issues. I think I've seen this once on this forum. Thanks!

its been done....but what i've noticed with this setup is that it doesn't make for ideal placement of the filter.

All of the unclocked Greddy kits point toward the fender...

I'd rather have sub optimal air filter location than sub optimal intercooler pipe routing. That's obvious from the above pic of my car. :dunno:

It was by far easier for me to clock toward the fender with A/C and P/S than to go down:

I have my hotside pipe going into a cutout hole right behind the headlight then into the fender and down heading straight to the intercooler. The only issue with this is also clearance. When you turn the steering all the way to the right it can rub the pipe. I currently run 2.5" pipes but I am working on fabricating some steel pipes and going to 2" diameter pipe to try and save some space so when I do go wider tires from stock and maybe even taller tires to avoid this.

I prefer to be different... some cutting of the hood may be required :)

This is how I piped mine with the intake on the cold side, drilled a hole through the fender with a whole saw.

Interesting.. More pics of above setup?
