Connecting to a LC1

I'm having some issues getting things set up, I've installed the lc1, gone through the calibration process all fine, but when I try to connect to the lc1 with my laptop I it just says connect to the serial port, I'm using a USB converter which is connecting fine with the ecu, I've tried changing the com port but makes no difference, any ideas?

Do you have the the Innovate data chain properly terminated?

By data chain do you mean the lead with the DB9 and the 2.5mm jack? If so I've tried plugging into both ports on the LC1, the blanking plug is also plugged in

Yes, from the manual:

5.3 Laptop recording of AFR or Lambda
1. If real-time recording with the Innovate LogWorks software, connect the Serial OUT connection
(unmarked) with the included 2.5mm stereo to DB-9 cable to a serial port on your laptop.
2. Connect the terminator plug (2.5mm male plug with no cable) into the Serial IN connection of
the LC-1.

Yep I've tried that but doesn't seem to work still, I'm going to try a different serial to USB converter.

Changing the com port? Check device manager and it should tell you exactly which port the USB-serial adapter is using.

For reference, I use this USB-serial adapter for both my XEDE and LC1 and it works fine.

on mine it takes a few tries. i usually find i have to start the car and turn it off again then just click the key to the on position for it to find it.

It's working now :) for some reason both the input and the output are marked in, not in and out like it says in the manual. also found if you try to have logworks open it will not connect to the LC1 with LM programmer.

The settings it had were very bizarre, the multiplier was extremely high, its back to where s should be now :)

Thanks for the help
