Connecting TDR i/c to BEGI setup

So I will be installing a TDR i/c with my GT2554 turbo, with a new BEGI manifold and downpipe. The TDR i/c came from a car with an M62 setup.

Here is a hotside M62 setup with the TDR a/a i/c. Look at the pipe from compressor outlet to the i/c. The M62 outlet is horizontal. I have the same pipe.

Below is the TDR i/c for an FM kit. Note the turbo compressor outlet tube. The outlet points up, thus the tube has a bend, and comes down. This tube is $135 from TDR. How can I emulate this tube with the tube I have (top photo). Cut tube shorter, add 90° rubber elbow...

I'm new to this DIY stuff, what elbow options are out there?

Check out atpturbo.com they carry all kinds of silicone bends if that's what you're looking for.

So this is a used IC setup i take it? TDR might take a swap, your old one, plus some cash to get the correct pipe you need.

You might have to clock the BEGI turbo, as I believe it shoots downward as it was designed to go around the front instead of the over the rad style. Try and get it mocked up and it will be much easier to see what you will need.

Just buy a 90 degree silicone bend and be done with it. All over ebay, and some reducers too .

Guess you can rotate the intake tube a bit to make it fit the turbo.

looks like a 90* coupler will work, just make sure you get one with enough "legs"....length on each side....so you can trim as needed. But it looks like if you angle the pipe towards the block and angle the 90* towards the headlight, it should work no problems.

fairly good prices for the amout of silicone you get: http://www.boostcontroller.com/index.php?category=34

Jason! Good to see you back on the forum!

You could also consider getting some 90 degree aluminum tubing since it's pretty cheap and then you can use straight connectors. Total cost will probably be lower since those elbows are ripoffs.

when they fix the website, www.verociousmotorsports.com has a good selection.
