correct pipe bends, lengths, etc.
 

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone had measurements or anything on piping.

Its a DIY setup.

-Car is a '94.
-The head and intake manifold are from a '99.
-I should be getting a T25 from an sr20 guy.
-I have the intercooler from CXRacing that seems to be common for the Miata.
-Already have the FM Link standalone.
-Have a manifold that will need some extra attention before it gets put on. (welds and support brackets)

What piping could I get for a reasonable price that's already setup for this car or what angles and measurements am I looking at?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any tips for a DIY would also be appreciated.

Well, when others are doing their own kits then they can send me in the right direction. What do I need to be thinking about when doing this? Do I order pre-angled pipe?

If you are talking about IC piping, then just buy a CXracing universal kit. I bought a 2.5" black powder coated kit for about a $100 dollars. It had more than enough piping, clamps, and couplers. It has everything you will need. Just decide how you want to run the pipes and cut them as you need it to.

There are about 20 ways to route you IC pipes. This question gets asked monthly or more often. Title search in the DIY forum for IC or piping or routing or route etc...

Your hot-side routing will depend greatly on whether you have AC or PS, and the size/style of IC you end up buying.

I have both AC and PS. I will be keeping both. The IC is 18x12x3.

I have AC and PS both. It was difficult to route the pipes straight down since I am using 2.5" pipes. I decided to cut a hole on the drivers side fender and the ran the pipe straight towards the front bumper running inside the fender. It fits perfectly. It is also a very short and simple route to the IC. I just took some pics for you to see, but it was really dark out so can't see much. It should give you the idea. In the pic you can will a single piece steel pipe instead of the one that came with my kit since I had messed em all up. I am gona be going stainless steel for the IC pipes soon. I was also thinking to do a 3" pipe on the cold side for smoother flow to manifold, but not sure if that will help.

Will also depend on which way the turbo is clocked. Up/down? Easy was is to take some wire hanger, bend to fit and measure.

zarish like the way you routed the ic piping on the hotside. I need to redo my hotside and have been considering this route and from seeing yours believe I will use that route what all connections and lengths of piping did you use.

From the turbo its a silicone 2" to 2.5" coupler, then the black 2.5" pipe is just a 90 degree bend which goes towards the fender its pretty short. There is another coupler that joins the pipes there inside the fender wall. I think I had 2 45 degree mild steel pipe mandrel bends laying aroung that I was gona use for building the original dp. I just welded the 2 45 degree sections together and they fit perfectly. It goes right down to the IC and then just joined by one straight coupler. It's a pretty simple and straight route. The pipe seems to stay cooler under there too then the old one.

I am getting a used T25 and I was wondering what I needed to get that weird Nissan flange on the compressor side and intake to work. Thanks for the help again.

Look I don't mind helping you out man, but like you I don't know a whole lot about all this stuff. When I first got in this forum people did the same to me where instead of helping they just give you more shit. I like helping people out as much as I can and if I know about the topic, otherwise I keep my mouth shut and not make a comment on every single thread. I just started doing my own research and I went turbo within a few month's just by reading stuff here. If you notice I don't have a huge post count is because I try to figure things out on my own as much as I can. This questions you just posted I had no idea of even what it was you were reffering to but all I did is go to the search box and typed in Nissan t25 flange and I got the answer within 30 seconds. Do try to search on your own before you just ask questions. Most people on here will not answer you questions and ignore you if you do so. Heck I do the research and I hardy still get any answers on my threads, but I really don't care or mind. I think im smart enough to figure stuff out on my own. Just make sure the questions you ask are not the obvious and have been posted many times. Don't mean to be an ass, but just giving you advise if you plan on hanging around here on this forum.
